General information about my writing. Not much here now except descriptions of the species that appear.

species

These things are always called races, but if you think about it, that's not quite accurate. So, species. These descriptions are for how these species are interpreted in my own writing and will probably be a little different from the typical representations of each.

human
If you can read this, you probably already know some humans. :)

vampire
Too complex for this simple list; see this page for a full description.

demon
A creature from hell. :) The demons in my writing are from one of the lowest, frozen circles of hell where betrayers are punished. The fallen angels in this region are trapped in the unmelting ice, but have created servants that are free to travel between hell and the human world. Some have been given human form by their masters and use this form to manipulate and trick others. They feed upon the suffering of the souls in their circle, and the pain of humans who fall prey to the humanlike servants.

homunculus
An artificial human. The soul has been separated from the body and resides in an object. The homunculus can be reincarnated as many times and as often as necessary, but it must have a vessel to possess. The appearance of the new body is determined by the development of the soul, becoming outwardly ugly or beautiful depending on what was done and learned in the previous life. The homunculus will truly die if the object containing the soul is destroyed, or if it comes into contact with the current body. Because I say so.

fairy (type 1)
Small humanoid creatures that live and work together in a hive, similar to bees. Like bees, there is one queen who is mother of the entire hive; unlike bees, all the fairies are male. Yes, even the queen. The hives are usually at peace, but in lean times, the various hives will actively compete for resources and will resort to theft and violence in order to survive.

god
A Greek-style god who loves mischief and mystery. All-powerful in one special area. Lives and works with other gods, so can't just do cool things willy-nilly. ^^b

races

These guys can interbreed with each other and humans, so they're "real" races.

angel
A "race" of humans with large feathered wings and healing magic. Wings are present at birth, but very small, and grow along with the child. They can fly despite weighing as much as a normal person. Their healing magic is powerful, but using it can cause exhaustion, especially when helping someone recover from a serious injury.

fairy (type 2)
A "race" of humans with insect wings and illusion magic. Wings are not present at birth and grow in during puberty. They can change their physical size, and use their wings to fly (at any size). Fairies tend to be petite with delicate facial features, even when not enhancing their appearance with illusion.
